FAQs
How much time does it take? About 12 hours per week, i.e. similar to an online master's degree. You should agree with your participant on the expected allocation of time (personal vs work hours).
After the 2/Feb/26 cohort, will there be further runs of the program? We plan to run 2 more instances during 2026, with target starts in May and August/September.
How practical is the training? Very! From week one, participants work on hands-on labs, prompt sprints and mini-design exercises based on real-world use cases. The program finishes with a ~50-hour capstone where your specialist builds a GenAI pilot/agentic solution—typically around a challenge from your own company.
What is the value of staying connected to our AI Centre of Excellence? You’re not just training one person once—you’re plugging into an active team that designs GenAI solutions every day across multiple industries. Staying connected gives your organisation ongoing access to updated practices, patterns and lessons learned from real projects, plus a practitioner network your specialist can learn from.
Which tools and frameworks will be used? The program is built around a modern, production-grade stack: LangChain for LLM applications and RAG, LangSmith for monitoring and evaluation, PydanticAI for structured data and tools, LangGraph for multi-agent systems, and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to manage context and memory. Everything is taught with a clear focus on real-world GenAI system design.
Does the program also cover the ethical and social implications of AI? YES. Whilst very hands-on, the program starts with a historic perspective and covers in its final section the societal and ethical implications that AI designers should be aware of and consider from the start of their designs and solutions. It also finishes with a future-looking live session on "The Future of AI", which reaffirms the responsibility of conscious designs in light of the incredible AI future ahead.
